Jimmy Fallon hosting the Emmys 2010, courtesy of LATimes.com
I have been a fan of Jimmy Fallon since he was on Saturday Night Live doing skits like Jarret’s room. During the entire Conan versus Jay debacle, he kept his mouth shut, and now he has been rewarded. He hosted the 2010 Emmys, and he was awesome. The skits were hysterical, he can do a mean Green Day imitation, and I love how he asked people to tweet introductions for some of the presenters. Nice. Three cheers for Jimmy!! The rest of the show…meh. I mean I’m happy that Mad Men and Glee won for best Drama and Best Comedy, I’m just upset about the entire 30 Rock, The Office and True Blood shut out. Come on! Again, I was excited that Jane Lynch and Eric Stonestreet won for Best Supporting Actress and Actor in a Comedy, but throw a bone to Steve Carell! And even Edie Falco was surprised to win for Best Actress in a Comedy. I am pretty sure that more people will be watching one of my favorite tv shows, Breaking Bad, now that they swept the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor category. It was the little show that could, AMC’s breakthrough drama that holds it’s own around the juggernaut called Mad Men. I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s Emmys and I am praying that they bless us next year with Jimmy Fallon as a host again. Check out the list of winners here.

Yeah he died, but what about the dog? Image Courtesy of NY Daily News
It was the most anticipated finale for this season. I don’t know what the writers or J.J. Abrams was smoking but it definitely made them forget to finish the damn series correctly. Why were there polar bears on a tropical island? Why did Jacob pick them? How did the plane go down? For real. Don’t tell me about Desmond not pressing the button again. What happened to the dog? Why wasn’t Walter and his son there? Why didn’t Jacob’s brother have a name? I could go on…but I digress. Some questions were answered and it was nice to see everyone back together again. It was bittersweet to learn the demise of Jack and the rest of the survivors and I will miss this tv show with all my heart.

Dirty Sexy Money courtesy of Eonline and ABC
First, they aired the series finale of Pushing Daisies unannounced. Now ABC is airing the last four episodes of Dirty Sexy Money. I’m sorry, was I hallucinating or was the show canceled? Just what the Tom Jones is going on with that network? Can they say something, have a commercial or issue a tweet about it? Luckily, my awesome boyfriend, TiVo, had a season pass for it, so I was good to go. They did Eli Stone dirty too.

the crazy Fringe, pic courtesy of NY Times
Fringe is like The X-Files on crack. I keep asking myself how the writers can possibly top the previous show, and my answer is in the next episode. I thought the oozing brain storyline was clever, but no, the man transforming into a juiced up porcupine was brilliant. And then the mother of all mindfucks was cleverly played out in the most recent episode. Fringe just gets better and better. Anna Torv plays the enigmatic FBI agent Olivia Dunham who is usually knee deep in some sort of goo. Joshua Jackson and John Noble play the son and father sidekicks who dissect, scoop up and analyze the goo or other freaks of nature. Fringe returns in April with brand new episodes, but until then, you can watch full episodes online.

mmmmm, Sawyer (courtesy of go.abc.com)
Oh Lost, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. The flash forwards and flashbacks make sense. The little things like Benjamin Linus grabbing ticket number 342 at the butcher’s shop or casting Cheech Marin as Hurley’s dad. The writing is phenomenal, and I’m even more intrigued now that people have gotten off the island, and stayed off the island for three years. But Sawyer, with that sexy Cheshire Cat grin, you had me when you jumped off the helicopter.
Will the Oceanic 6 get back to the island? Does Benjamin have a monetary interest in the island? Why them, why the people on the plane? What really caused the crash? Did Desmond forget some button to push, which caused a magnetic force that made the plane split? Does the physicist dude go back in time to change the course of events? Does Desmond help him? Is that why they found a plane in the ocean and not on the island? What is up with the pilot dude?
